Full Bio

Matt White is a behavioural translator, author and international keynote speaker whose work bridges behavioural science and the real world — in organisations, on stages and in print.

His book, The Snack Monkey, began as an investigation into why people eat the whole packet when they know they shouldn't. It became a framework for understanding irrational behaviour in every domain — leadership, cybersecurity, AI adoption, relationships and performance.

Wim Hof, the world record holder and creator of the Wim Hof Method, wrote the foreword for the second edition after a years-long relationship with Matt that began when Matt reached out about living with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. Matt subsequently went on to compete for Great Britain in paraclimbing.

Matt's background spans technology leadership and cybersecurity at board level. He is the creator of The Behaviour Desk, a publication applying behavioural analysis to current events in leadership, technology and decision making.

He speaks internationally on why smart people make predictably bad decisions — and what the behavioural science actually says to do about it.

Wim Hof — Foreword & Endorsement

"The monkey is not your enemy. It's an old friend with bad ideas, and it cannot hide from a person who is looking. You are not weak. You are not broken. You are human and human is far more powerful than you have been told."
— Wim Hof, from the Foreword to The Snack Monkey (Second Edition, 2026)

Wim Hof — world record holder, creator of the Wim Hof Method and bestselling author — agreed to write the foreword for the second edition of The Snack Monkey after a relationship with Matt that began when Matt reached out in January 2022 while living with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. In his own words: "Anybody who comes from a dark place and flourishes is a hero. I will always endorse a person like that."
